TeamEMS has a several specific goals for 2019 and beyond. We will have visible presence at races of many disciplines, conduct outreach for the EMS (and more broadly, the healthcare community) and support of our local cycling communities. Review the content below for a more details!

First Aid sweep

Our race team negotiates free entries for our core race team & ambassadors. We earn those entries by providing sweep services.

What is the difference between our sweep services and everyone else? Well,  we are not offering insured, medically backed, medical care. No volunteer sweep service would do such a thing. That is the realm of a contracted medical provider, like EMS-Unlimited. Our role is to carry basic first aid supplies (including calories and hydration) and sweep the course with the ability of competitive athletes and the background of healthcare providers. We have the capacity to quickly cover the most heinous terrain to notify others of medical needs AND the expertise to provide rapid on-scene triage skills, notify appropriate resources, assist in extrication, and provide bystander BLS/CPR when needed. We are like a volunteer sweep with SKILLS. When combined with a contracted, licensed, insured and medically directed company like EMS-Unlimited, you get the ultimate package.

 Outreach

TeamEMS organizes and run outreach events to connect with the EMS and larger community to help share our mission to promote and encourage health and wellness in the EMS and healthcare community by empowering people through outreach, education, and competition.
